i figured it was about time i get around to posting some "after" pictures of the house. some areas are still "in-progress," including leslie's room - which i didn't dare photograph, for fear that i may lose a limb if she found out.
so, without further ado, the afters:
first, what will eventually be the craft room/office. right now it's more of a hideaway for unfinished projects.
next, my room. i was pleasantly suprised by the fact that i could fit my bed, dresser, and shelves in there and still have room to walk.
another view of my room.
the bathroom. i love the spa-like blue leslie chose for the walls.
the view as you come upstairs.
dining area. notice the superawesome glass & wrought iron buffet that leslie scored from ikea for $60!
the kitchen.
the living room.
other side of the living room. can you believe those floors were covered with nasty carpet?! they're beautiful!
ok. end of tour. for now. once spring comes, i'll try to update with some pictures of gardens/planters. right now it's just nasty, brown, and melty outside.
let's see. what else?
oh! shampoolessness! i haven't used a drop of shampoo in nearly two months and i couldn't be happier with my hair. it's shiny and manageable - i haven't had to change anything about the way i style it.
so please, i challenge you, give the no-poo lifestyle a try! and let me know what you think!
i start my new job tomorrow. i'm excited to start something new and i'm relieved to know that i'll start getting regular paychecks in a few weeks. i'm also well aware of the fact that it's going to be a major adjustment for me. instead of just being a full-time student, i'm now a full-time student, full-time employee, and a mentor (oh yes, my other exciting news! i finally got matched with a Little through big brothers big sisters!).
fortunately, this week is spring break for school, so i can sort of ease myself into my new circumstances.
ok. speaking of school, i've been procrastinating long enough on my homework.
so. easily. distracted.
